I'm pissed off too! And to top it off, I heard one woman was shot in the stomach, only after they broke all her fingers for good measure. That fuckin' sniper started out in Montgomery Alabama - about a 2-3 hr drive from us!! Shot and killed one woman and injured one woman there!! Not sure if they're including those 2 people in the total count or not, but the woman that lived played a part in getting their sorry asses caught!! Look how much things have changed just from when I was a kid. I remember when it was safe to sleep with your doors unlocked. Now you can't even have them unlocked during the day!! This is a small community and I thought I was safe here until we took Jared to the coast for his 5th birthday and came home to find out our house had been broken into!! That was almost 2 yrs ago and I still can't talk John into us going away for the weekend now. When we went to Oregon last Feb. for a week, he had my brother come house sit while we were gone.
But looking at the way it is now, it just scares me to think what it's gonna be like when my kids are grown. What the hell has happened to people? I do the best to raise my kids the way I was raised...to respect yourself and have respect for others. Too bad that too few parents do that. If they would, maybe this next generation would have a better chance. What example are you setting when you take a 16 yr old kid with you and teach him to hide out and shoot other people?!!! It's really sad.

I can remember bein' a carefree li'l girl - not havin' a care in the world. What few bad things did happen, we didn't hear about so much, and they weren't all that bad compared to these days.

I remember my mom thought things were bad then, and used to worry about the future - I thought she was just being silly.
